Nicolae-Alexandru Nicolaescu graduated from the "Nicolae Lupu" History and Patrimony Faculty of the "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu (2009). He finished the master's degree "Romanian political elites (18th to 20th centuries)" (2011). He defended the PhD Thesis with the title "Transylvania magazine: editorial program, historiographic and bibliographic content (1868–1919)" at the "1 December 1918" University of Alba Iulia (2015). Since 2017 he is a scientific researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities in Sibiu. He published two books as single author ("Transylvania Magazine: Editorial program and historiographic content (1868–1919)", Bucharest, Romanian Academy Publishing House, 2018 and "The bibliological universe in the pages of the Transylvania magazine 1868–1918", Cluj-Napoca, Mega, 2020), over 30 studies and articles in collective volumes and scientific journals, as well as many book reviews and presentations. He was involved, as a project director, member or scholar, in four national and two international research projects. He is the secretary of the "Commission for the History of Romanian Towns" and the editor of the newsletter "Information on the History of Towns" (since 2019). He is a member of the following research organizations: the "International Commission for the History of Representative and Parliamentary Institutions" (ICHRPI) and the "Commission for the History of Romanian Towns" at the Romanian Academy.
