Completed projects 

Dr. Ioana Florea is a graduate of Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca. During her studies, she carried out mobilities at the Universities in Münster and Regensburg, Germany. She was awarded the PhD title in history on the basis of the thesis Die deutschsprachige Sportpresse in Siebenbürgen in der Zwischenkriegszeit (The German Language Sports Press in Transylvania in the Interwar Period), coordinated by Prof. Dr. Rudolf Gräf.
She conducted her research activity at Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca within the framework of the project CNCS-UEFISCDI „Limbă și cultură germană în România (1918–1933). Realități „post-imperiale“, discurs public și câmpuri culturale” and within the Institute for German Studies (Institut für deutschsprachige Lehre und Forschung – IDLF). She is currently a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Sibiu and the editorial secretary of the German language scientific journal Forschungen zur Volks- und Landeskunde.
